ABOUT US

Founded in June 2002, BIZ INDIA is a full-color, glossy magazine that is an exciting gateway to the fastest-growing, most affluent, best-educated and most technologically-savvy immigrant population in the United States today: South Asians.

1 Million South Asian Households with $75 Billion in Buying Power

South Asians are people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and other nearby countries. There are an estimated 5 million South Asians in the United States. With an average estimated household size of five persons and average household income of $75,000, that translates into buying power of $75 billion.

According to Census 2000, the population of Asian Indians, the largest component of South Asians in the U.S. grew by a phenomenal 106 percent between 1990 and 2000, growing from 840,000 to 1,700,000, compared to only 11 percent for the entire United States population.

2.7 Million Asian Indians in USA

Since 2000, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the number of Asian Indians in the U.S. has further jumped another 60 percent in just six years – another million persons - from 1.7 million in 2000 to 2.7 million in 2006.
