Housefull 3, which is the third installment in the Housefull series, has performed exceptionally well both in India and overseas, early revenue receipts show. The movie has grossed Rs. 104 crores (about US$15.5 million) worldwide in just three days after its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adash took to his Twitter account to reveal the movie’s box office collections in India and tweeted:
“Housefull 3 was exceptional…Friday – Rs. 15.21 crores, Saturday Rs. 16.30 crores, and Sunday Rs.21.80 c.ores. Total: Rs. 53.31 crores. India biz. Growth on Sun: 33.74 percent. Fab! Housefull 3 scores big in international markets too, collects over $4 million (26.77 crores) in its opening weekend. Superb!”
In a statement, the film’s distributor Eros International announced that the film has collected over Rs. 100 crores (over US $ 15 million) across the globe in its opening weekend with over Rs. 73 crores gross in India and over Rs. 27 crores overseas. The film hit the screens on June 3rd.
Housefull 3 is a 2016 Indian comedy film co-written and directed by Sajid-Farhad. It is the third installment in the Housefull film series, and it was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in the lead roles. Filming began in October 2015 with locations including London and Delhi.
